UPDATE: There is a NEW event platform for Spotlight events!
The Spotlight Series will be hosted on the virtual event platform, Cadence.
On Cadence, you can interact with candidates through your university booth, in the Community area, as well as direct messaging. Although, we’ve found this platform is user-friendly, stay tuned for further information on platform training, so you can get acquainted with the platform in advance of the event day.
We will be hosting live platform demonstrations ahead of each event. These will occur within one week of the event and invitations to join the demonstration will be sent out via email.
Access is given for this event based on information provided by the main point of contact for each participating university. If you are having issues accessing the platform and think you should have access, please email email@example.com.
FAQs & Additional Info
General Event Information
A session is a 25-minute topic-based presentation held at a Spotlight event. Each participating university holds two sessions during the first half of the event.
For sessions, we have a recommended list of formats available, including Ask Me Anything, Alumni or Current Student Interviews and Topic-Based Presentations.
All of the sessions are hosted using Zoom. If you wish to share your screen or create a waiting room, please see the instructions to Claim Host Responsibilities here.
All of the Zoom links for your sessions will be available in your Box Folder two weeks before the event. If you cannot find them or do not have access to your Box Folder, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
A panel is a 55-minute multi-school conversation covering a specific topic. Each Spotlight event hosts four different panels, and each participating university is assigned to one and must provide a panelist to be a part of this discussion.
All our panels are hosted using Zoom Webinars. Unlike a traditional Zoom call, Zoom Webinars curate which members of the call are visible on screen (in this case, the panelists).
If you are hoping to watch the panel, the link can be found in your Box Folder two weeks before the event. If you cannot find them or do not have access to your Box Folder, please email email@example.com.
If you are a panelist, you will receive an email from Zoom 24 hours before the panel. This link is specific to your email address, so please let us know if you will be accessing the event through a different Zoom account or should be associated to a different email address.
