Practical experience during curriculum: Experiential education is a core value and competency of the Oregon MBA. More than just learning by doing, or applying theoretical lessons to practical situations, experiential education is about creating a continuous loop in which real-world feedback drives constant improvement. Much of the experiential learning is mediated by the four centers affiliated with each of our four tracks. However, there are also experiential learning opportunities that span all four center and tracks.
Consulting Opportunities: The Oregon MBA Strategic Planning Project provides the opportunity to take on real issues at a real-life business or organization. Working with industry partners, classmates work as a team, tackling matters of strategic importance. You?ll make site visits and attend meetings. Wherever the company sees an opportunity for growth or has a problem with an existing product or service, your team will analyze opportunities and solve problems, then present your conclusions to senior management.
Career Services: Career Services at the Lundquist College of Business helps students navigate the career exploration and job search process, develop career search skills, and build a portfolio of work experiences. We offer career advising and support, an extensive library to assist in your job search process, host workshops and networking events, and provide a plethora of tools--from job boards to self-assessment tests and videotaped practice interviews.
